A complete solution for
fitness centre bookings
Coming out of COVID-19 lockdowns, the City of Greater Geelong needed a fast solution to capture bookings for fitness centre sessions and guest check-in. By utilising Swift Digital’s marketing automation platform, appointment booking system, and event check-in app, we were able to build a complete solution and meet the client’s quick turn-around requirement. A customised appointment booking and check-in system for five council fitness centres in less than 12 days.

The platform modules and tools used by the City of Greater Geelong to facilitate their fitness centre bookings.
The Event Module was used to set up sessions, capacities, and frequencies. Bookings were then captured and managed here as well.
A custom Booking System was developed allowing users to view and book available sessions by centre, date, and exercise type.
Event Check-in App
Each fitness centre used the Event Check-in App on Apple iPads to search bookings and mark/scan attendance on the day.
The Email Module was used to send booking reminders, confirmations (with ‘Add to calendar’ feature), and other important messages.
Landing Page Module
The Landing Page Module was used to create a promotional web page which referred users to each centre’s booking system.
The SMS Module was used to send reminders one day prior to bookings; providing a cancellation option, and resulting in reduced no-show rates.
